Pros and cons of National Gallery, London HD. app for iPhone and iPad

National Gallery, London HD. app good for

I have visited this museum and have enjoyed its wonderful exhibits, from sculpture to paintings. The "Arnolfini Wedding" is a prize for any museum. I liked the Holbeins and others of royalty and nobility which give the viewer a sense, not just of the subjects, but of other classes of people who shared the land and challenges of the era. This museum is one which every art enthusiast should include on a list of "must see" destinations.
We purchased this app anticipating a trip to the National Gallery. It has been very worthwhile and enhanced the experience of viewing the art. There are some details of the Arnolfini Wedding you can only see in person like those little red shoes on the floor in the background, but the app has allowed us to re-live the joy of the experience and it cost less than airfare and hotel.
Great app, which permits to watch at will, at home, wonderful masterpieces.
Beautiful paintings at your fingertips! Ive only just started to browse them. Plus some info about them.
Simply the best! You can find art and history with a very good quality of stuffs.
Its a great opportunity to learn and appreciate art. Dont missed it. Much better than stay passively in front a TV watching garbage.

Some bad moments

A visit to this site soothes my soul! I will recommend it to others. It is a fine introduction to some of the finest art. Thank you! Ill recommend to others.
Would like to see more female artists featured, and more detail about paintings/artists in the info. The HD res is STUNNING and there is so much to see!!
I love perusing. HD download is great. Love the hi-res detail.
I have been thumbing through the paintings and I really like how the app is set up. The paintings are photographed very well.
The image quality is great, five stars for that. Id say four stars for the info included with each painting. It seems a bit brief. Id love to learn more about the artist and the piece when I view a painting. A kids section would be a great educational opportunity.
This is a wonderful app and makes me sad I did not visit when I visited London many years ago. The music is a nice touch also.
